Cochlear Implants

Share |

The American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Inc. considers cochlear implantation an appropriate treatment for adults and children with severe to profound hearing loss. Based on extensive literature demonstrating that clinically selected adults and children can perform significantly better with two cochlear implants than one, bilateral cochlear implantation is accepted medical practice.
