Sujana S. Chandrasekhar, MD
Proposed topic: Interventions for Acoustic Neuroma

"I first got interested in the Systematic Review/Guidelines process last year, and quickly saw how much I had to learn. Attending the Cochrane Colloquium allowed me to explore the many nuances of analysis both in writing and reading/reviewing articles, and supplied me with the tools that I need on an ongoing basis. Additionally, between the pre-meeting and the actual Cochrane experience, the camaraderie across subspecialty ENT between my fellow Cochrane-ites and me gives me resources that I never would have had otherwise."

Proposed topic: Macrolide Therapy for Rhinosinusitis

“I developed valuable personal relationships at Cochrane and within the AAO-HNS. These relationships will be key to the success of my project. In addition, I walked away with an "off the shelf" product for re-inventing Journal Club. This format provides a dynamic, clinically applicable way to teach evidence based medicine to otolaryngology residents.”

Proposed topic: Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery

“The Cochrane Colloquium heightened my awareness of the need for greater rigor in clinical research in otolaryngology.  It was a truly enriching experience interacting with research colleagues from other disciplines from around the world, as well as with my fellow travel grant recipients from the US.”
