The Humanitarian Efforts Committee helps the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Foundation as an organization, and its membership as individuals, to serve the needs of humanity throughout the world in this medical specialty.
Becoming InvolvedVast inequalities of medical care worldwide, the portability of medical knowledge, and our duty as physicians all lend themselves to humanitarian work domestically and abroad. Opportunities for ResidentsResidency is an optimal time to participate in humanitarian mission trips domestically and especially abroad. Such service can hopefully set a pattern for future service and can be a tremendous learning and teaching experience.
